This very thing happened in my house last night. There were a bunch of us here because it was a friend's birthday and we partied all night. They went into the bedroom and they both came out a few minutes later and asked for condoms. We're all pretty good friends and had a great time, we all knew that it would probably happen, that they wanted to do it. We're all human, after all.
I'm sure any embarassment she might feel would only last a few minutes. I mean, it wouldn't be a surprise to anyone, I'm sure.
My advice is to tell her you got up for some water later and someone else was going at it in the bathrrom, but you couldn't tell who it was. If everyone else was doing it, maybe she'd feel better about it.
