I'm not a huge Prince fan, but just a click check of AMG All Music proves that he didn't make an album for any company other than Warner Brothers (except for his own company, but he was still under Warner's I think) during his time there.

There are a couple of things that are not exactly.
In the 1999, in the album "Rave un2 the joy fantastic", made by
Npg Records and distibuted by
Arista, the producer was Prince, but still "created" by Tafkap.

So that link proves something a little bit different, I think.
