I agree 100% with everything you said.... they win because they always play hard and they play in the parity era. The 90's Cowboys, 80's 49ers, 70's steelers, etc.. would all blow them away (not just my opinion; steve young et al expressed the same on a pregame show).
I think the Jets have a good shot to upset them - they are coming in on a roll, and have the motivation of being the underdogs to motivate them. Plus, the Pats D-line isn't real strong this year, aside from Seymour, and Curtis Martin is playing amazing football so far... I look for the Jets to control the ball, control the clock, limit mistakes, and beat the patriots at their own game. Penington is a good QB for a game like this - accurate and few INTs for the opportunistic NE defense....
PS - I'm still disappointed Jenkins didn't smash Brady in last year's superbowl
