BAD MONKEY!!! This MG-34 is MINE!!! SMACK!!! SMACK!!!
Actually, I really, really like the Reising. It has a few minor flaws. Paramount is that the charging handle is concealed in the foregrip. If you have meaty hands like I do, and grab it too tightly, it'll take the skin off of part of your hand. Hence the green tie thingy (not the sling, the other tie thingy), as a reminder. The other big flaw is that it likes to be kept clean. By clean, I mean cleaned every 500 rounds or so, which isn't long at all. Given the uses I use it for (plinking, generally) this isn't a big deal
Now the 34 is my BABY. Shooting it is by far the funnest thing you can do with your clothes on. Well, OK, getting Hillary in a courtroom with a subpoena would be more fun, but hey, I've got a pretty twisted idea of fun, it was issued with the J.D. The 34 can be finicky, but when it runs, it runs like a scalded ape, which is good. We're talking 900 rpm of 7.92 wholesome goodness. That's a 250 round burst in under 20 seconds, and that will rip a car to pieces pretty good. Pull one of those while having a heart attack, and the coroner ain't NEVER gonna get the smile off your face. Seriously...a big burst on the '34 is almost the emotional equivalent of my child being born. You just keep grinning and grinning and grinning...
Now, everybody talks about how much fun Uzis are. I was really disappointed with my Uzi. Yeah, it shot OK, and the first thing I ditched was the cheesy folding stock for a nice IMI wood stock, but still. Frankly, I'd take the supressed STEn over the Uzi for just about everything, INCLUDING "serious social purposes".
Reminds me. I gotta go shooting soon.
