i've dealt with matrices this year in the maths i took, so i guess thats a good start. I'm taking 2nd year probability and statistics next year. these are a step above the minimum requirements for my degree, but after speaking with an academic about taking standard or advanced quantitative subjects based on my math marks to date, they said i'd be bored shitless doing the standard level, and taking the advanced quantitative subjects will allow me to take on a statistics minor if i want to. the standards bring me to a dead end.
i've leaned away from maths next year (with the exception of prob & stats), and am doing personal finance & another accounting unit that will gain me an exemption from a professional exam after graduating.
cheers
