I know this thread is old, but since it was reserected, I thought I'd post. I really don't have much to say except I hope you've been coping well. My Hubby, when he was a young teen, saw a school bus hit and cut in half an old woman crossing the road. I have thankfully never witnessed something so horrific. He saw this nearly 20 yrs. ago. Just last week we were discussing something unrelated but tied-in, and when I brought his incident up, he got teary eyed and told me to drop the subject (and this is from a guy who is usually not too emotional).
Having traumatic experiences like these always stay with you. You have to somehow find a way to subdue them so that they are something you can live and cope with.
Original King, I hope you are dealing well with what you witnessed and have come to some kind of personal understanding and acceptance (if that's possible) that has helped you to at least become acclimated to the emotions that resulted from what you saw.
Makes me wonder why as a race (humans) we are so facinated with crap like "Faces of Death". Pretty sad really....
