except in the most extreme cases... a few hard-boiled egg whites a day should provide all the protein you'll need in a day for most workout regimens. natural, low in cholesterol and fat (if yolk is discarded), and certainly less expensive than GNC supplements. A tablespoon or two of peanut never hurt anybody either.
