It did hurt and if you read between the lines...the team is getting tired of Mack Brown.
I was reading the Sports Page in the Dallas paper and looking at some of the quotes from the players it was like...these guys are tired of Mack's BS.
Let me go grab that paper so you can see the quotes...

That to me says pretty solidly that they are now questioning Mack Brown...he didn't say they got outplayed or the other side had more talent...they had a better game plan and the players don't game plan the coach does. Now one could say that's just coming from a senior who won't be there next year and is venting a bit.

The three biggest players Texas has and they all question the game plan? Time for Mack to go bye bye. I'm almost wishing for an A&M win over Texas in a few weeks.
The losing to OU is almost becoming expected but if they get trashed by A&M(who I might add are looking a lot stronger than I expected them to look) then he will get booted. No way around it. And one can only hope that Spurier would come here.
Honestly I think he'd love Texas. We do have a school that has the last few years been able to attract good QBs(I think the current crop of QBs aren't being coached
properly but whatever)and receivers. We've always had good running backs(Earl Campbell,Priest Holmes,Ricky Williams(bastard), Cedric Benson). We've always had good linemen. So talent wise he should easily be able to impliment his high power offense easily. The defense goes through highs and lows but winning can cure that and Florida has good DBs that he could probably recruit. The more I think about it the more Steve MIGHT be the best fit for this thing. He has all the talents Mack Brown has plus he can actually coach.
