The offense was just plain inexperience, their wide receiver core, gone, when you lose Roy Williams, you lose a lot, but that goes without saying. The Texas Defensive Schemes have gotten better, and this year, they've been the best they have in a while. When you come into a game like that with a one-dimensional offense, you're going to lose, unless the Defense scores some major points for you. Think about this for a second all of you Mack Brown haters, how many times did Bobby Bowden lose to Miami before he started to win big? I believe it was at least five, if not more. This offense will only get better and more experienced as the season goes on, and the defense will remain the same, with only the loss of Derrick Johnson, I believe. My critique of Vince Young is this, his quirky throwing motion turns him into a 5'10" QB instead of a 6'10" QB that he should be, and, as much as he runs, he needs to learn better ball control, he puts it on the ground way too much. I say look for this offense to gel for an entire year, and then on October 8th, look for a Texas win.
