that is the way i heard it too. his name is Prince Roger Nelson, named after his dad Roger Nelson who used to call himself Prince Roger Nelson. he was a jazz musician and he called his band the Prince Roger Nelson Trio. but NOT the Artist Formerly Known As The Prince Roger Nelson Trio.
