I hear you but I don't know. My cousin got a phd in psychology through correspondence from Open University and I think prior he was enrolled for 3 classes in a real university. Don't know but I think he dropped out after failing 2 out of 3 courses.
Now he offers his psychological expertise in his private practise. Does extremely well too. Considering he's pulling in approx. a 100 G a year, not bad for a guy with essentially a high school education. He mailed away for the diploma, and poof, 6 months later he's a doctor. He prefers to be addressed as doctor.
I try and watch Americas Most Wanted just to see the day when he gets caught and is revealed as a fraud. But yeah, I wouldn't go the online route unless it's 100% legit from ever angle. You may pay more at a recognized university but that's security as I see it. And probably better looked upon as well on a resume.
