Could it be..... just a wild guess and a hypothetical because all is fair in love, war and now obviously politics.....
That someone very close to the family set CBS up so that it would come out as a forgery and help Bush? After all, the source had to be close to the family to get into this guy's private files.
Wouldn't be the first time the press were used for this type of setup. Captain Jinks and Howard Stern used to do it all the time..... of course when Stern did it it was humorous. This would just be a sick way to destroy a news organization's credibility.

I just love people who use the excuse "I use/do this because I LOVE the feeling/joy/happiness it brings me" and expect you to be ok with that as you watch them destroy their life blindly following.
