The 9/11 Commision Report
I dont know how many of you watched this tonight. It was unbelievable to see the breakdown, and failures of the system that was in place on 9/11. It was amazing about the CIA, and the FBI, and Bush's lack of communication with each other. The fact that this threat had been very much real, and the Clinton or Bush administration did nothing. All politics aside, it angers me to watch that, to know this is what this investigation team found happened on 9/11. One thing that really pissed me off, was watching the group of investigators question, and dispute Guliani and the New York Fire Department. About things such as the chain of command, how the situation was handled. Like this is somthing we should have been prepared for, that this was somthing they should have trained for. I thought those allagations were absolutley ludicrious. At least, thats how I heard and saw what they were saying.
All in all, this show was pretty amazing to watch. To this day am still in shock at how it happened, or that it happened at all. I'm even more in shock the Clinton and Bush administration knew it, and did nothing.
I just wanted to lay some comments out there. I'm not a big political person, and I don't completely understand the politics behind the commision report, the Bush and Clinton administration doing what they did, but I don't think the average working class, non-political type of person that I am, needs to. It's blatently obvious what went on, and it's downright appauling.
Tear me apart, rip me to shreds - be gentle - I consider myself an educated person in most rights, but politics is one thing I'm not educated enough to speak my opinions about, but I am educated enough to understand them.
