That's actually not a bad idea. Keep the guns in your home in a locked safe and when transporting, keep the bolt open with a cable tied around it and the ammo in a different compartment.
Isn't it ironic as hell, that I (a 20 year old) can go to the local gun shop and pick up a .50 rifle that can pierce light armor. But I can't pick up a semi-automatic SKS rifle?
