Frickin confusing.....
I am trying to figure out what guns I can move with me to Cali and which ones I should leave behind. My 7.62MM SKS is on the ban list for Banned Weapons, but I cannot find if my HI-POINT 9MM Sub Rifle is legal? It is not mentioned on the ban list, but it is a newer firearm. (last year). Anyone know how I might proceed? I called the local Sheriff Dept and asked, but they refered me to a site, that frankly, needs to be read by an attorney. It is all codes and laws, that doesn't make much sense to me. What happens to me if I "accidently" bring in a firearm that is illegal in this state? I even contacted the NRA, but they said they do not councel on these issues??? WTF??? Nobody can answer my questions. I really really really don't want to contact the ATF. So any help here would be great.
