Yes, if your gonna wax your car, clay is the best paint prep there is. It physically removes any type of grit or dirt in the clearcoat - which, if you don't remove, will just end up leaving scratches and swirls in the finish. A pre-requisite for the serious car detailer. Amazing how smooth it gets the paint.
