A vast majority of baseball players are cry babies. You got hit by a pitch? Boo fuckin hoo. Most times it's because you were crowding the plate. Don't want to get hit? Then take a step back, and quit bitchin about it.
And if you got hit because you were an asshole in some other instance (slid in spikes up into the shortstop) then you deserve it. You just hit a home run and you're doing cart wheels while saying you just fucked the pitchers momma. Well, don't wonder why you're getting drilled the next time you're up to bat.
My Dad is always telling me about Bob Gibson, how he'd drill players for just about anything. It's about respect. When you hit a 5,000 foot home run, you don't need to pump your fists in the air and show up the pitcher. Just take your bases and get to the bench. Your shirt sleeve got brushed by a pitch? Take your base for cryin out loud, no need for a pissing match.
Charging the mound is nonsense. There's rules for how this should all go down. You get hit on purpose. Take your base, your pitcher should have your back and drill somebody else. Then everyone gets warnings and it's over. Get back to the game. Course that's not how it's always done.
And I'm sure this won't be a popular opinion... But bench clearning brawls are so stupid. Follow those unwritten rules and you'll be all set
