Either way, how do they connect to the ESC? do you have the same signal going to both of them, or does your speed controller have connections for 2 motors?

The 2 motors each have their own pinion gears that work together to turn 1 larger spur gear. The gearbox is only a 1 speed, but your acceleration and speed can be adjusted with the ESC of course. The ESC (Novak Super Rooster) only has 1 motor output, but is designed to run 2 motors wired either in parallel or series. I read wiring them parallel would give more torque so thats what I use. Two motors of course requires twice as much power, cutting battery run time in half. If I push full throttle the entire time, it runs about for 7 or 8 minutes, if even that. If i'm crawling or just keeping in lower speeds, I can get about 15-20 minutes or more out of a single 2000 mAh battery. The top speed isn't much, maybe about 10 mph or so. It's definitly designed more for crawling and rough terrain offroading than speed and racing.
Edit: I was just outside with it doing some crawling and the battery lasted a good half hour.
