Dad's a lawyer, but would have made a great referee as he used to referee all the arguments that I had with my mother when I was an impossible teenager.
Or a politician for never taking sides in the mom battles. (Her hair is fine, it's ok that she plays sports, it's ok that her friends are all boys, it's ok that she doesn't play with dolls, it's ok that your mother doesn't udnerstand you now, she will (he lied), it's OK that she is hard on you, it will make you a better person (it's made me psychotic)

Mom - was a university professort of english - she'd make a great gossip columnist because she always was asking my brother and sister what i was up to -- they never knew, so she'd invent stuff. either that or a professional nag - she's really good at taht.
