I havent' seen this type of thread and thought it might be interesting to hear from others after thinking about my dad recently.


My dad retired from the police force after 24 years of service. He was a good cop, and made many friends among his peers. He has a gift for gab while at the same time appearing very average, approachable, and likable. Thinking this over I think he should've been a local politician. He just has a way of making you feel like he isnt' very judgmental and he cared about regular people. Of course caring about ppl never got you voted into office.


My mother was a housewife for 14 years and after working a scant 6 years or so after the divorce she copped out on disability (don't ask). If she had a career I would say it'd be a desk jockey in a municipal office, with it's great benefits such as lots of sick and holiday time off.


what do you think your parents should've done for a career instead of what they actually do? It'd be more interesting if you come up with something other than what they actually do but if that's what you really think then by all means share.
