Of course, I'm talking about society in general, NOT the TFP. However, I have noticed a significant increase in the number of reported pedophile arrests and kiddie porn busts. Where are they all coming from? I have several theories, and the truth may be a combination of several of them.

1) The prevalence of kiddie porn on the Internet is "converting" otherwise straight folks into being aroused by children.
2) The prevalence of pedophiles in society has caused an enormous bloom in the amount of kiddie porn traffic on the Internet.
3) People who might have remained "in the closet" about their pedophilia a generation ago are unable to control themselves thanks to the proliferation of Internet kiddie porn.
4) Law enforcement and society are taking the threat more seriously and are doing more about it.
5) Criminal investigation has progressed to a point where charges can stick better, therefore arrests are increasing.
6) Counseling procedures are more successful in convincing children to speak out.
7) As people retreat away from actual human contact and rely on digital contact with other humans, they are stuck in a case of arrested development and remain intimidated by anyone sexually more mature than a child.

And does the "arrested development" argument partially explain why young men seem to be fascinated with "shaved" girls exclusively these days?

I taught elementary school for 12 years, and the P.E. teacher in the classroom adjacent to mine was convicted of molesting several little girls at our school. Thank God for prisons.

I am afraid to use Kazaa anymore, because I can't trust the content of my downloads.

I know this is a weird rant, but I can't help but be concerned about this growing trend I keep noticing.
