I'm surprised at how common court cases are used as a series finale. Just off the top of my head, I can think of
Seinfeld,
The X-Files and
Touched by an Angel, all of differing genres (comedy, sci-fi and drama, respectively...).
Can anyone think of any others? Why do you think courtroom scenes are so popular? Why use it to end your series?
