Roundtrip time to dslreports.com, average = 221ms, min = 202ms, max = 234ms -- Jul 19, 2004 11:00:05 PM
I love how my DSL can have a ping of 60 to dslreports yesterday and today it has a ping of 230. I called PAC Bell (SBC global) and they told me that my modem had to be 5 feet from my computer and that they were updating their user database. The database has been changing since last week, and my ping has changed in the last 12 hours. I wish they would just cut through the trash and explain why my internet connection is not working. I would be less irate if they simply explained the problem and gave me an ETA on when it will be fixed. Anyone know of a level 2/3 SBC/PAC Bell tech monkey who can assist me in finding my connection problem?
/is just upset because he can't play UT2004 now and the daily show is a re-run
EDIT: WEEEE. I was just told that pinging yahoo.com and pinging the IP of yahoo.com will have different results. I really don't see how one akami server will be faster than any other, but the SBC tech people seem to have different beliefs. ALSO, why must SBC outsource to people with broken english ?
