First off, Gigabyte motherboards are known for fucking up the processor temperatures badly. Mine actually overshot the temperatures 20-25 degrees celsius. It said my 2500+ was running at 60 celsius+....I put it in my girlfriend's PC, and whaddya know! 35 celsius. The temps may be wrong!
Secondly, I suggest with the utmost concern that the Thermaltake Silent Boost is the best Athlon XP CPU HSF out there. I shit you not when I say that it's as quiet as a GlobalWIN Super Silent (can't hear it basically) and cools better than water cooling kits. It actually cooled better than an SLK-900U with a Tornado fan according to various tests. At $25-$30, I'd hit it up 100%.
