Then I suggest she tell the judge that whenver all of this comes to court. I think the only way a person can get sole custody of a child is if they can prove that the other parent is unfit of caring for the child or is a danger to the child - sounds like this guy is both.
I wish your friend the best of luck and I hope this guy gets the ass kicking wake up call he needs - there's obviously something wrong with him if he doesn't care enough to care for his own child.
