One point I need to clarify: it wasn't a robbery, it was a burglary. To say you were robbed is to say you were home and confronted by the burgler. I'm not sure if you have to be threatened by them for it to constitute a robbery though....
I was burglarized a few years back and when I called the cops I said I was robbed. they set me straight fast. Of course, they made off with a lot of stuff. If the deductable is 500 bucks I'd say it'd be pointless to file a claim...
