It's not just that. I was thinking more along the lines of how it's not a good idea to get yourself in a position where you depend on someone else to keep a roof over your head. I've had roommates who didn't care if the utilities were cut off or whatever as long as they could avoid paying their way. One should always have somewhere to go or have money stashed to get a place on their own because you never know how a living arrangement is going to work out until you're already in it.
