Am I seeing this correctly? You want to commute, 22 miles each way, on an electric bicycle?
Specs from those electric bicycles you linked to says they can do 15 miles without pedalling at all, on level ground. And then the battery needs to be charged for 4 hours. For a $1600 36V model.
That probably translates to <10 in hilly ground. Yeah, you can pedal, but you'll pedal for at least 12 miles. Show up to work sweaty, after 8 hours of work and tired as hell, have to pedal 12 miles again.
Are you in good shape? Do you want to save the environment? Then go for this electric bike.
Otherwise, you want a gas-powered scooter. They are in the same price range, get 100+ mpg , and can get you there faster.
