No. Spyware free. Get it now. You'll never go back.
Bittorrent isn't a client, it's a new way to transfer files. A new process. It uses bits and pieces of a given file from users who happen to be sharing that file. Therefore, no central servers and no sharing of folders and no browsing of other users' files.
You need a bittorrent client to download. There are many different versions out there. Personally, I use Azureus.
It's deceiving at first, because all the torrent files download so quickly. The way bittorrent works, is you download a torrent file that is essentially, a tracker file that once opened in Azureus, finds other people "seeding" that particular file. For Example, if you were to download a file that says "beastie_boys_to_the_five_buroughs_192kbit.torrent" you need to then open that little tracker file in a bittorrent client which will then connect to other users sharing the same file.
The more people seeding the file, the quicker it downloads, therefore, after you have downloaded the file, it's important to leave your upload of the file open for a while so that other users can snatch it too. That's how the bittorrent network survives.
Hope this helps.
