i've been a fly fisherman since i was a kid. it's the only kind of fishing i really enjoy. i don't like trolling at all, and sea fishing isn't my cup of tea. unfortunately, it would be pretty hard to start fly fishing for under 50 bucks. i bought a reel alone that cost about 90 bucks. i think it's worth it though. for me, there isn't a more relaxing sport.
