Bubba Ho-tep
I saw this movie sitting on the shelf on friday at a local video store. I remembered my sister telling me it was a fantastic Bruce Campbell movie. Upon viewing it I totally agree.
For those who don't know about it it's premise is this. Bruce Campbell play's a man in a rest home who believes he is Elvis. He teams up with Ossie Davis (a balck man who believes hes JFK "The CIA dyed me thats how clever they are") to stop a 3000 year old mummy from sucking the souls of those who live at the rest home.
It is of course very cheesy but Bruce actually shows himself to be a very good actor, showing real emotion and making you feel. Ossie is also very good in his role. Both opt out of taking on many of the mannerisms of their namesakes instead making it more believable.
So if anyone wants to see a very cool and funny movie rent Bubba Ho-tep. Oh and if anyone owns the dvd how are the extras? I'm going to pick it up as soon as I can.
