Bubba Ho-tep - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

I saw this movie sitting on the shelf on friday at a local video store. I remembered my sister telling me it was a fantastic Bruce Campbell movie. Upon viewing it I totally agree.

For those who don't know about it it's premise is this. Bruce Campbell play's a man in a rest home who believes he is Elvis. He teams up with Ossie Davis (a balck man who believes hes JFK "The CIA dyed me thats how clever they are") to stop a 3000 year old mummy from sucking the souls of those who live at the rest home.

It is of course very cheesy but Bruce actually shows himself to be a very good actor, showing real emotion and making you feel. Ossie is also very good in his role. Both opt out of taking on many of the mannerisms of their namesakes instead making it more believable.

So if anyone wants to see a very cool and funny movie rent Bubba Ho-tep. Oh and if anyone owns the dvd how are the extras? I'm going to pick it up as soon as I can.

I meant to look for it I really did then it slipped my mind and fell into a dumpster, where it was swiftly transported to outside city bounds, then burned.

Haha no worries... This movie needs all the exposure that it can get... because it fuckin rules!

I thought it was good. Some of the funniest lines in the movie came from the old black guy. He says, "I woke up and there he was with his mouth over my asshole, he was trying to suck out my sould." I also loved the part when he tells him that he is jfk, then the king responds saying that jfk was a white man, he then proceeds to tell him that they died him that color. lol

I love this movie. I have to say I also enjoyed the commentary done by Bruce and the director. There's also commentary done by The King, but I havn't listened to it yet.

My favorite line:
"Nobody fucks with the King, especially no big bitch cockroach!"
