I think i paid attention at the time. But then I grew up and realized how little truth was taught to us in the program. It then served in my eyes to discredit much if not everything the DEA says regarding drugs. I would support the DARE program if they honestly told kids about drugs. But (at least when I was in it 15 or so years ago) it was mainly a "If you do drugs your gonna be a loser" speech over and over and over, while grossly exagerating all the negative aspects of drugs.
