The interesting thing is, I feel as if when I was in highschool (a whole 4 years ago) that there was only a fraction of kids that listen to shit like Dashboard.. Now it seems as if everyone listens to that shit. Last night for example.. Punk rock party, punk rock chicks etc... Someone changes the cd to the new AFI, and all of a sudden, the stoners in the corner with their Johnny Blaze attire start screaming (read whining) with Davey to the chorus to Silver and Cold. I was fucking baffled. So I just had another beer and begged them to play Too Short.
Anywayssssssssss, it just seems that the fraction turned into the majority. Why? What is in the water nowadays that gets children all emotional? The only thing I worried about in highschool was how I was either going to get to the game on friday night, or how I was going to get to lunch after second period. I didn't wander around aimlessly with my fucking Nikon, trying to capture life one still frame at a time. Mabye I just led a sheltered highschool life, or maybe the fact that I constantly skipped class helped me miss the seed-planters of today's emo youth. I am not sure.
