I used to have that problem (going to bars alot)
I started these imagery techniques, like hearing thunder and loud rain hitting mud (or a cow pissing on a flat rock)
Or you can try making jokes, like picture the other person peeking over your shoulder with an inquisitive look and a huge magnifying glass in their hand, with stupid music like maybe from the carnival or something playing (Or whatever YOU think is funny, and thereby relax a little)
This worked for me and I evidently have some kind of anxiety disorder.
