As you can see, you aren't alone. I used to have the same problem. I couldn't pee if I knew someone was in the same washroom, even though I couldn't see them. Using public washrooms was always... inconvenient. Just the thought of some stranger walking in would keep me from letting go sometimes.
But I managed to get over it with some help from my wife. Since we only have one bathroom in our apartment, we're forced to share the facilities most of the time. At first it was weird having someone standing there while I tried to pee, but as time went on I got comfortable with it since she is my wife. Now I have no problems using public urinals, even with a bunch of guys standing around. Just so you know, it can be fixed.
