Same thing happened a few years back, but it was caught on tape.
I saw it on one of those hidden camera shows they used to show on Fox or FX.
A guys' gas kept getting siphoned from his camper, so he set up a hidden camera to catch the thief red handed.
Worked too, with the same results as above.
