Actually, if you want to use PayPal, all it takes is a form that they fill out on your form, which then posts to PayPal. All the security and payment business happens over at paypal.com, and then when the transaction is done, PayPal notifies you about it.
Now, PayPal sucks, compared to an actual ecommerce solution with real credit card processing. That's what I do for a living--setting up people with sites that sell things and charge credit cards. Iif you'd like to talk with me about how I can help with this, PM me.
