I really think he is an taste you either like or hate. Tomahawk and Faith No More are the 2 more mainstream friendly bands. Tomahawk, though, is not well known at all. Its not even a Mike Patton project, he just dose the vocals.
Faith No More went through several stages; metal, rock, alt. It seems like the more they progressed, the more rock orentated they got and less metal. This would seem to happen due to the constant member changes.
Fantomas is just there. They are sweet, in there own way. I remember reading something about them that Patton said if he was in a elevator, this is what i would want to hear(fantomas).
Mr. Bungle is just amazing. I guess, along the same lines, that you either like or hate it though. Jazz-funk-metal-kickyouinthenuts crazyness. Thats basicaly all that can be said about that.
