I worship him....
why?
Because he is hands down one of the greatest and most versatile musicians ever.
He can do metal, death/black metal screams, pop, jazz, blues, country, eastern, etc.
He is amazing. His vocal range is so vast, theres almost nothing he can't do.....He has some of the highest pitched stuff I've ever listened to, but at the same time, he can sing very low.
Mike Patton has influenced almost every other Rock and Metal band in some way or the other, if not direct, then indirectly because Band X was influenced by Band Y which was influenced by Mike Patton...
Little do people know, he actually could be traced back to be the originator of fusing rap elements with rock....so theres an entire movement there even though many people don't agree with that notion... (forget run dmc/aerosmith, that doesn't count in my book)
Chili Peppers, Incubus, System of A Down, so many more of these bands have been touched by Patton's music in some way....
I can go on forever....but if you haven't checked out his work....go get something from Fantômas, Mr. Bungle, Tomahawk, and ESPECIALLY Faith No More.
