John wossisface, the redhead was terrible at almost all points. No major personality, no singing ability (other than the lounge lizard style), not even obviously good looking.
JPL was also a pretty bad singer - couldn't hold a note, but at least had a bit of personality.
The big guy seemed to be the best of the lot, but got booted out.
Regardless of the voting and whos in/out, they'll all stand a chance of getting a recording contract out of the whole show.
Wonder what the tie-ins are though - do they have to sign with a label related to the show, and go with Simons 19 management team? I'm intrigued ....

I'm sure that a certain number of the top vote getters (maybe the top 5) have to sign with him and then there's probably a "right of refusal" clause where Simon's label gets the first shot at a number of the others and, should the label pass, they could go on to others. The contract with his label may be limited though because I just heard on the radio that Clay Aiken is shopping for agents (or signed with agents) who will get him print ad and acting work.
I do agree with you about why they've gotten down to such meager talents when there were quite a few throughout the audition and competition phases that I think performed better. Of course the judges are the "pros" and they could never be wrong (at least in their minds).
