i am totally the same way. jane magazine had a really interesting article on women who do that voluntarily, i think it was last month's (april).
i really love mods in general, and what they represent to me, but i feel as though removal of anything is pretty extreme. i can't really see a point to removal. like decoration i'm all for, and i guess removing things is still customizing your body in a different way, but it just seems like you're not adding anymore and that makes me kinda sad.
and some of this stuff, i wonder how it would aid in sensation as i would think it would damage a lot of nerve endings...
