I've had an 88, 90 and 98 all 4wd and never had a problem out of any of them. All but the 98 were 4cyl and got great gas mileage. The 6cyl wasn't bad on gas either. The 90 had 135,000 miles on it when I sold it and other than oil changes, ect... all I ever did to it was brakes, tires, u-joints and a clutch. I did everything to it myself so it wasn't bad to work on. Great trucks in my opinion.
