It's one of my favorites, too...some of the funniest television I've ever seen.
I wanted to like the American version, but it was just awful. It was almost word-for-word, shot-for-shot a copy of the first UK episodes...but the delivery was flat, and the timing just didn't work.
The bad part is that many Americans saw the U.S. version first, and will stay away from the UK version.
...can't wait for the next season!
