I refused to watch the American version, because i knew "we" would fuck it up :/
UK version was great though.. i've seen every episode (through season 3) and can't wait to see more.
I also recommend The Office (another BBC sitcom). I rented season 1, it was so good, that my roomate and I bought season 1 and 2. Highly entertaining..
