I was in a similar situation not too long ago, except she was my manager none the less. Innuendos were a constant thing and it drove me mad.
She left to another state for a better job, and on the day she left, she had me in the office for an adios, before I left her office she gave me a kiss on the cheek, smiled and said it would never have worked out.
She was obviously right, no doubt that it would not have worked out, but damned if that 6 months didn't drive me absolutely insane.
