I was always told that Presidents are never "ex-Presidents", out of respect for the office when you're referring to them in an official manner. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
I disagree with Dole's criticism of TV. Society is the way it is because parents are becoming more lax in discipline and have less time overall to spend with their children, for one reason. There are many contributing factors to the way society is today. But really, society has been the same throughout most of history, in terms of sex and drugs, it's only more visible today.
The fact that Dole didn't criticize Fox for its reality shows is unimportant. He only brought up one show, the Osbournes. It may have been different if he had brought up shows from many different networks, and still ignored Fox. I haven't paid much attention to the reality show scene lately, but if I remember correctly, Fox's reality shows are no worse than the other crud coming from other networks.
I feel that Dole had no political reasons behind not bringing up Fox's reality shows, but that Clinton did, in insinuating that Dole was trying to protect his "conservative" friends at Fox. It should have been a moot point, in my opinion.
