I use the Olympus C-3040 model. It's a great, compact, full feature camera with as many variable settings and modes that you could possibly need as an amature hack picture taker. I love the camera. It's not the shirt pocket size like some of the models out there but it's a great camera for the money. The flash is SUPER bright and with a 3.3 mega pixel image you get remarkable clarity.
I think there are newer models than the C-3040 out there now but I really like this one.
