LeBron ran the point and played two, both positions where ball-handling and vision are important. At the three and four, where Carmello played, those aren't as important as simply getting good shots and rebounding.
Since the one and two generally require better skills, the fact that LeBron played above expectations becomes more impressive then Carmello playing above expectations.
