i used to have some of my works posted here, but i think that was before v4.0, so i figured id add some new stuff and repost the old....

"Let Me In"
you called out to me in the night
and i came
i held you in my arms and comforted you
you cried stale tears of fear and remorse
and i let you be numb and lifeless
while i gently stroked your hair
i kissed you and told you everything would be alright
and for that moment you believed
when you awoke your burdens were gone
or was i too quick to assume?
just as magicians perform sleights of hand
you are adept at hiding the pain
you wont even admit it ever was there

so i call out to you "please let me in"
for ive seen the recesses of your deepest fears
i reach out a hand to soothe the wound
but you slap it away, holding onto your pride
once again im on the outside
blocked by an impenetrable fortress
and again i hear your cries for help
as you plead my name over.....and over
you open the gates and usher me in
only to act like nothing is wrong
and when i ask to heal you, you turn me away
so i walk, just keep walking
turning my back on your pain and sorrow
because you force me to
i play along with your little game
but how long will i be able to ignore your pleas?
your anguished voice and trembling words....

when will you let me hold you again so you can cry?
